Productivity
Productivity isn't just getting things done. It's spending your limited time and energy on what actually matters. How do you do that without turning your whole life into a to-do list?
Productivity: Doing More of What Matters to You
I never set out to become an expert in business and productivity. In fact, when I started freelancing and launching my projects, I was just trying to figure out how to make things work.
Balancing my full-time job as a senior developer while building my own ideas and creating content was overwhelming. I constantly pushed myself to take on more, which left me stressed and burned out. This frustration led me to dig deeper into productivity, looking for ways to make real progress while still enjoying life.
That experience turned into a real interest. Since then, I've spent a lot of time on how to work efficiently without burning out. Now I try to share what helped: simple systems that make steady progress possible, even when time and energy are short.
Productivity Without the Grind
One of the bigger things I've learned about productivity is that it doesn't have to be a grind. We tend to picture it as endless hours of pushing through exhaustion at the expense of everything else. My own experience, and reading Feel-Good Productivity by Ali Abdaal, changed how I think about that.
It's less about discipline and more about not burning out.
When you feel good about your work and your progress, the work gets easier, and you tend to do more of it. Not through force or burnout, but because you're not fighting yourself the whole time.
For me, productivity isn't ticking boxes on a list. It's lining up the work with what matters most, and keeping a pace I can hold for years instead of weeks.
What you'll find here
In the articles below, I share what's actually worked for me: managing time, setting goals worth keeping, staying creative, and not hating the work. Practical notes from doing this around a full-time job, not productivity theory.
Whether you're just starting or refining how you work, these are approaches to stay on track and get more done without grinding yourself down. Take what fits and leave the rest.
